Instructions for version 1.1

*This method requires your iPhone/iPod touch to be using the same Wifi network as your computer

  1. Create a zip file containing the 16 sample you wish to import in WAV format ( if you don't know how to create a Zip file a pretty good guide can be found here )
  2. In EasyBeats on your device choose Settings->Link. The local network address of your iPhone/iPod will be displayed.
  3. On your computer open a web browser and enter the address exactly as shown (including the colon and numbers after it)
  4. Press enter and your device's web page should load.
  5. Click the "Choose File" button (next to the upload file text) and find the Zip file you created earlier.
  6. Finally click submit to upload the kit to your phone/ipod.

Alternative Instructions

NOTE: easyBeats version 1.0 contains a bug that prevents files with a space in the path being imported.

New Kit.bmkz will fail

NewKit.bmkz will work

This will be resolved in the next update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Method 1: Internet

Create a zip file containing your favourite samples (in .wav format). Upload this zip file to a website of your choosing.

Next in Safari on your iPhone/iPod touch enter the address of the file, but change the starting "http://" with "easybeats://"

Press the go button and easyBeats will launch and attempt to import the file.

Beatmaker .bmkz files can also be imported using this method.

Method 2: Intua's BeatPack

*Requires your iPhone/iPod touch to be connected to your local wireless connection

Download and install Intua's BeatPack

Launch BeatPack and select the "Create Kit" tab

Create a BeatMaker .bmkz kit by dragging and dropping your .wav files on to the desired pads.

Fill out the desired information fields then click "Generate BeatMaker Kit"

Inside easyBeats, bring up the menu then choose "Load Kit"

You should see "BeatPack" click on this then choose the kit you want to import from your computer.
